Mobile dating is on the rise and Skout is determined to prove it. The company surveyed 1000 of its users between the ages of 20 and 30, with an even gender split. Here are the results:
- 51 percent have met someone in person that they initiated contact with on their iphone.
- 69 percent are comfortable meeting up with someone they met on their iphone.
- 40 percent are using a mobile dating service while out and about.
- 20 percent are only using the service outside of their homes
- 25 percent are using the service at work.
Skout also concluded that most people would rather be dating than hanging out with their families during the holidays.
- 29 percent would prioritize spending time with family.
- 36 percent would prefer going on “a date or two”. • 20 percent would prefer at least one “hook-up” and a few dates
- 15 percent would prefer multiple “hook-ups” and dates before the holidays are over.
In a strange twist, 20% of those surveyed already had a significant other.
According to new dating site, Cinekin.com, movie ratings are the key to predicting romantic compatibility. Cinekin matches people with their ideal mate solely on their movie preferences, eliminating the need for lengthy questionnaires! In a 2 year study of 3,000 people, couples in happy relationships shared similar movie tastes three times as often as people in unhappy relationships.
MillionaireCupid.com recently launched a new dating site, Successfuldates.com. SuccessfulDates offers a live counselor service to their members. This feature is intended to provide members professional suggestions and advice should they ever have any dating difficulties. The website has also implemented a background verification system to ensure the identity of users and provide an overall better dating experience.
Speaking of new launches, AstrologyDating.com recently debuted the beta test of its astrology-based dating site. AstrologyDating.com analyzes the planet’s zodiac signs based on a person’s birth-date, birth-location, and time of birth to provide in-depth match making results.
