The Top Internet Dating Reporters in 2019, According to Online Personals Watch

COURTLAND BROOKS - Apr 12 - Each year we take a look at which reporters have received the most coverage on Online Personals Watch. Here's our rankings for 2019.

1. Sarah Perez, Tech Crunch

Sarah is number one on this list for the second year in a row and Nr 2 in 2016, so, definitely a name to remember. She is a tech writer for Tech Crunch since 2011, before TC, she wrote for Read Write Web. This year, we shared 15 of her articles on OPW and she wrote even more on our topic. She wrote multiple articles about what's new on Tinder, covered the Spark Networks / Zoosk deal, Hinge acquisition and more during 2019.

2. Ashley Carman, The Verge
In 2018, Ashley was a new name on this list, taking a 5th place. In 2019, this reporter's name moved up to 2nd place, with 12 articles shared on OPW and again, she wrote even more. She is a tech reporter for the Verge. Most of her articles covered Tinder and Match Group.

3. Zack Whittaker, Tech Crunch
A new name on our list. He is a security editor for Tech Crunch. He covered data leaks and security breaches to dating apps, but also new security features. We shared 8 of his articles last year, so, it seems, this is quite a hot topic when it comes to the idating industry.

4. Natasha Lomas, Tech Crunch
Another long term Tech Crunch reporter who writes a couple articles about dating apps each year, in 2019 we shared 3 of them on OPW.

5. Sam Dean, Los Angeles Times
This is a new name on our list. Sam joined LA Times team in August 2018 as a tech reporter. We shared 3 of his articles on OPW last year, all of them were about Tinder.

6. Lucas Matney, Tech Crunch
And yet another Tech Crunch reporter and another new name for us. We shared 3 of his articles last year, all were about Bumble.

7. Jordan Crook, Tech Crunch
Also a long term Tech Crunch reporter, who writes about online dating quite regularly. Last year, we shared 2 of her articles, one on Tinder, another one on S'More.

8. Anthony Ha, Tech Crunch
A senior writer at Tech Crunch, Anthony appeared on our list in the past. Every year he writes a couple of articles about the internet dating industry.  Last year we shared 2 of his articles, about Tinder and the Match Group.

9. Emily Bary, Marketwatch
Emily is a tech reporter for Marketwatch.  She made our list for the second time in a row. Last year, we shared two of her articles, both about the Match Group.

10. Kuwar Singh, Quartz India
A reporter for Quartz India. We first saw his name on one of the articles we used on our blog in 2018.  This year, he made it to our list, with 2 articles about Tantan and Bumble.
