Two IDEA Analyses :: Fraud Detection And UGC Review

IDEA - May 15 - Please see the attached two analyses on Fraud Detection and User Generated Content review services that are in use by the dating industry.

For Fraud Detection, we took a look at, and recommend you take a look at: Kount, iovation, Sift Science, and ThreatMetrix.

For UGC Review, we identified the following companies that were serving the dating industry: Besedo, Crisp Thinking, Crowd Flower, Foiwe, Scamalytics, SightEngine and WebPurify.

ALL media is biased. But, GOOD media will tell you exactly where they are biased. We are biased with Kount, Besedo, Scamalytics and WebPurify. We have been retained by them in the past for help getting the word out to the dating industry.

Mark, it would be better for all to interview the companies you are listing in your paper. I know a statement at the bottom of the paper with "Disclosure
Courtland Brooks was engaged by Besedo / Kount to author this white paper." is acceptable practice but I'm sure most IDEA members would like to get a more objective view of services.

Examples in your UGC review services you have ommitted Scamalytics out of categories:

- Shared Data : the largest shared profile and image DB in dating - the other providers don't share data with each other (or do they)
- Human Moderation: A very important part of our human/machine moderation combination. We include this as part of our system. We can provide moderation through partners or use existing moderation teams to learn from in-house knowledge.
- Law Enforcement Collaboration: The UK police (Action Fraud) is sharing data with us which we distribute to our clients and offering this for free to dating sites using our API.
